🌍 Shipping & Refund Policy – The Octopi Cafe

Stickers: Printed on premium waterproof matte vinyl or glossy paper. Each is handmade and may feature small natural flaws or slight variations.
Ceramics & Pins: Fragile and valuable items are always shipped with tracking to protect both you and us.

We offer two shipping methods depending on location and item type:

Only available for Canada, the U.S., and selected non-EU countries.
Budget-friendly but does not include delivery confirmation.
Buyers assume the risk of delay or loss unless otherwise protected by local laws.

To comply with international consumer laws:

🇬🇧 UK	Tracked shipping required; refund must be offered if lost
🇦🇹 Austria	Tracked shipping required by default, regardless of item value
🇪🇺 EU (all)	Same as Austria and UK
🇨🇦 Canada	No refund required if seller policy is clear and item is shipped
🇺🇸 USA	Same as Canada
🌐 Others	Case-by-case resolution based on shipping choice and local regulations

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, holidays, or the postal system once your item has been sent.

We retain:

A dated photo of each shipped package showing the customer’s name/address and postage applied
Fulfillment records and digital shipping receipts

This evidence meets Shopify’s seller protection standards.

Tracked Shipping: If a package is confirmed lost by the carrier, we will issue a replacement or refund in compliance with the law in your country.
Untracked Shipping:
- EU / UK / Austria / Australia: You are legally entitled to a refund or store credit and we will honour that.
- Canada / USA / others: You accept the shipping risk. We may offer store credit or a discounted resend on a goodwill basis.

Wrong item or damaged order?
Contact us at theoctopicafe@gmail.com within 10 days of delivery with:
- Your name
- Order number
- Photos or video of the issue

If verified, we will resend or refund the item at no cost.

Returns not accepted for:
- Opened or used items
- Custom items
- Lost items without tracking (unless required by law)
- Items marked “delivered” by tracking
Cancellations: Accepted only if your order has not yet been fulfilled.

All orders are considered final once shipped unless the item arrives damaged or incorrect.
Untracked mail is used at your own risk unless your local laws require otherwise.
Store credit or resends may be offered at our discretion outside of mandatory legal cases.

Tracked shipping is required for orders to the Australia, Austria, UK, and EU.
Refunds/replacements are guaranteed under law if delivery fails under policy.
We comply with all local, national, and Shopify-approved consumer protection laws.
We aim to resolve any concerns respectfully and fairly, as a small handmade business.
